Fake $50 Notes Circulating Within Central, Southern, Eastern Divisions

Five reports of fake notes have been lodged within the Central, Southern and Eastern Divisions during the past week.
The first report was received at the Totogo Police Station whereby a 60 year old shop owner received a fake $50 note from an unknown person with the serial number FFC9413078.
Another fake note with the same serial number was produced at a BBQ Stall in Nakasi and again a few days later at a supermarket in Raiwaqa.

The latest report was received on Monday at the Nasinu Police Station by a 37 year old self-employed man who was depositing money into his account at a Bank located in Nakasi when the teller discovered a fake $50 note with serial number FFC4984851.
No arrests have been made and anyone with information that could assist our investigations is requested to call Crime Stoppers on 919.
