Fake Twitter Account

Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry seeks to clarify that the following Twitter Account under his name ‘Mahendra Chaudhary@MPCFiji (It’s time for a change)’ is FAKE and deceptive and does not belong to Mr Chaudhry.

The fake account uses the same picture that Mr Chaudhry has on his official Twitter account. But the surname is misspelt. The account was opened on 23 April 2023 and is quite active.

Labour has lodged a complaint with the Cybercrime unit of the Fiji Police Force and the matter is now under investigation.

“We are also writing to Twitter to have the fake account discontinued.”
