Yesterday another drowning victim, 12-year-old Joana Mele Vuetaki was also farewelled by her family and friends at the Tuvasu Hall at Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua yesterday.
Joana was a Year Eight student of Suva Primary School and the fifth of six siblings.
She had drowned while swimming with her friends in Nasiriti River in Tavua last week.

She was bid farewell by hundreds who gathered for the funeral church service at the hall.
