Family Recalls ‘Heart-breaking’ Loss Of Three Members
In less than a month, a Nasinu family are heartbroken and still trying to come to terms with the loss of three family members.

In less than a month, a Nasinu family are heartbroken and still trying to come to terms with the loss of three family members.
On November 11 this year, the family lost their youngest sibling, 16-year-old Francisco Humphrey, in a drowning incident.
Francisco drowned while trying to retrieve a rugby ball from a drain in Nadera, Nasinu.

He was swept away by swift flowing floodwaters. Twenty days after that incident, Francisco’s mother Alivina Kaloudau, 43, died from a heart attack.
A day later, her husband, Francisco’s father, Vakacegu Humphrey, 62, passed away. Mr Humphrey had suffered from stroke for 13 years.
Francisco’s elder brother, Suliasi Veitokiyaki, 32, said it was really heartbreaking for the family to accept the deaths.
He recalled when Francisco passed away - his mother had lost all hope of living.
