Family Unhurt As Raintree Falls, Crashes Through House
“They were sleeping in the room then it started raining so my son went to the kitchen to close the window; by the time he reached there, my daughter came outside, just when he closed the window, the tree fell on my house,” he said.

Vimlesh Kumar, 43, is grateful his children escaped unharmed after a raintree fell and partially destroyed their four-bedroom house on March 4, at Naikabula Lautoka.
The father of two children said he had left home last Saturday at 3.30pm to go shopping. His wife was at work while his son, 15, and seven-year-old daughter were at home.
“They were sleeping in the room then it started raining so my son went to the kitchen to close the window; by the time he reached there, my daughter came outside, just when he closed the window, the tree fell on my house,” he said.
