Fast and reliable home internet is no longer a convenience but a growing necessity as more aspects of daily life shift online, according to a statement by Telecom Fiji Limited.

Telecom said from remote work and online learning to entertainment and communication, households are increasingly dependent on stable internet connections to keep up with modern demands.

The company noted that unreliable or slow networks can disrupt virtual meetings, interrupt school lessons and affect overall productivity, highlighting the need for stronger and more consistent connectivity.

“For working professionals, a reliable connection supports seamless communication and efficient workflows, while students rely on steady access to online classes, research and digital learning platforms,” the statement said.

It added that families are placing greater demand on home networks, with multiple users often connected at the same time for streaming, gaming and browsing — making speed and reliability more important than ever.

The company said fibre broadband is emerging as a preferred option, offering faster speeds, improved reliability and the ability to support multiple devices simultaneously.

As digital services continue to expand, Telecom said investing in quality home internet is becoming a practical priority for many households seeking a smoother and more dependable online experience.
