Fasting And Prayers Answered, Student Thankful For TELS

Seven-day Adventist College Year 13 student, Dilaite Dimaiwalawalu’s prayers and fasting were answered when she became a Tertiary Education Loans Scheme (TELS) recipient.
Ms Dimaiwalawalu said she was determined to follow in her older sister’s footsteps to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education.
New TELS cut-off mark

And this was fulfilled when the Government announced the new TELS cut-off mark as 250 in its Revised 2021/2022 Budget.
The 19-year-old, from Wainunu, Bua scored 254 out of 400.
She said she was thankful when she found out her financial challenges to study would be taken care of by TELS.
She said her prayers and fasting to secure a scholarship were now finally answered.
She will join her second-year teaching student sister, Saraseini Culanaguta, at Fulton College in Nadi, with classes beginning from next month.

She attended Ratu Luke Secondary in Bua during her Year 9 studies and moved to Suva with her parents where she attended Year 10-13 at Suva Adventist College.
2022 General Election
She advised eligible voter registered students and people not to be swayed by political lies and promises made by politicians, fulfilling their own personal agendas.
She supports the current Government because it is a ‘Government of Action’ and not just for promise-making, she says.
