FCS Officers Urged To Show Support For New Acting Commissioner

I plead with you all to pray, sup­port, and assist her in her new role as Acting Commissioner for the Fiji Corrections Service.

This was the plea shared by Attor­ney-General Siromi Turaga during the traditional welcome prior to touring the FCS facility on Friday.

FCS Acting Commissioner Salote Panapasa is the first female com­missioner. She was appointed to the position on January 28 of this year.

“No one ever thought that a female would head such a male-dominated field like a prison. This is the first of its kind and for that I ask you all to show her your continued sup­port,” Mr Turaga said.
