Dr Ian Ferguson, the chief executive officer of the Ferguson Tertiary Education Centre, highlighted the cost-effectiveness of studying locally.
“Studying locally is a lot less costly than going overseas because you don’t have to have a visa or medical insurance,” he said.
The fee structure for local courses ranges from $3000 to $4000 for the year, with students paying $1000 deposit to start the programme and the remainder as they progress.
Dr Ferguson boasted that, in some instances, their courses were more affordable than locally delivered equivalents, providing both value for money and internationally recognised qualifications upon completion.
Over the last 23 years, the centre has facilitated study programmes for more than 44,000 students across the South Pacific, enabling them to study in Australia and New Zealand.
Dr Ferguson also expressed commitment to supporting locals, including those who did not complete high school, by offering affordable international study opportunities.
Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Siromi Turaga, praised the collaboration between the Fergusson Education Group and Government, describing it as a haven for learning, growth, and excellence.
He encouraged prospective students to embrace the knowledge, skills, and values provided by the centre.
