These allegations were made by Assistant Police Commissioner- Crime, Mesake Waqa at the Fiji Police Credit Union Special General meeting earlier this year. Ms Tikoisuva said the report was handled by one of the prosecution officers at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution’s office.

“We are undergoing the final checks and we have a vetting process,” Ms Tikoisuva said.
“We need to make sure they are consistent or at least different people have looked at it and checked if there was probably something that we overlooked.”
Ms Tikoisuva said the report was scheduled to be ready by next Friday, November 29.
Ferris wheel accident report
Ms Tikosiva said the Ferris wheel accident report should be released before next Friday.
The report concerns a 21-year-old woman who died after falling from a Ferris wheel during the 2023 Fiji Showcase at the Vodafone Arena carpark in Suva.
“These are big cases that need to be investigated properly before any other decision is made,” Ms Tikoisuva said.
“After the investigation is completed, the report is then given to another prosecutor to vet, before it is then passed over to me to sign off on the report.”
