The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) has closed the complaint against Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, saying it does not have jurisdiction to investigate complaints of unlawful terminations and recruitments within the Ministry of Education.
Mr Radrodro was alleged to have interfered with disciplinary cases, conducted unlawful terminations, abuse of power, and abuse of office, including misusing his position to terminate the employment of former Ministry of Employment Human Resources managers based on personal grievances or to replace them with individuals he knew personally.
The allegations also included claims the education minister appointed individuals without following proper procedures and terminated staff without justifiable reasons.
