The Fiji women's cricket team finished sixth at the 2024 Pacific Cup Championship in Auckland, New Zealand, on Sunday. Cook Islands dominated winning by nine wickets against the Fijian Ladies at Lloyd Elsmore Park in the fifth and sixth place play-off.

Fiji scored 80 runs with the loss of one wicket while the Cooks recorded a total of 81 runs after losing a wicket.

The Papua New Guinea women's cricket team successfully defended the championship title, beating Aotearoa Maori by five wickets in the final.

PNG captain, Brenda Hai Tau told Radio New Zealand that it has been a tough competition and she's proud of her team.

She said the team is also thankful for all the support they received during the competition.
