Fiji Police: 4-Year-Old Drown In Waitana River, Tailevu

A 4-year-old boy is believed to the country's latest drowning victim.
A Police statement said the incident occurred yesterday afternoon at the Waitana River in Tailevu.
The victim resides in Khalsa Road, Nasinu and had accompanied his mother for a swim when the alleged incident occurred.

While the two were swimming, she discovered her son missing and following a search found him lying motionless near the river bank.
Police investigations continue.
