Fiji Police: Body Recovered From Navua River

A search was conducted yesterday afternoon but turned out negative.

The body of a man in his late 20's has been recovered from the Navua River this morning.

A Police statement said the victim was swept away by strong currents whilst swimming near the Beqa Jetty with others yesterday afternoon.

A search was conducted yesterday afternoon but turned out negative and the team continued with the search efforts this morning.

A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
