Fiji Police: Early Morning Accident Claims Woman's Life

A 54 year old radio announcer is in police custody following a motor vehicle accident that allegedly claimed the life of a woman this morning.

The accident occurred along Nasese where the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle causing it veer off the road at Gardner Place.

A team from the Totogo Police Station managed to rescue the driver and the victim  from the vehicle which was partially submerged in water.

She was rushed to the CWM Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are yet to identify the victim as investigations continue.

The suspect remains in custody.
