Fiji Red Cross Relief Supplies To Lau

The Fiji Red Cross (FRC) will be delivering relief supplies worth $78,000 to Ono-i-Lau in a trip beginning today.

Ono-i- Lau in the Lau group was badly affected by Tropical Cyclone Gita last week.

The team, including one staff and five emergency response trained volunteers, will leave for Ono-i-Lau at 10am in the Government vessel the MV Iloilovatu.

Fiji Red Cross marketing and event manager Bridget Middenway-Blumel said the team would be spending seven days as per Government sailing plan.

Ms Middenway-Blumel said they would also be focusing on provision of Non-Food Items in the affected islands

Item for distribution are:

Clothes

Dignity kit

Hygiene kit

Blanket

Shelter toolkit

Jerry cans

Kitchen sets.
