The Fiji Rugby Union saga took an interesting turn after two of its senior staff were sent on leave. FRU legal officer Vishal Anand was sent on leave by interim administrator Simione Valenitabua five days before the latter was officially appointed.
Anand was sent on leave on April 28.
Valenitabua’s appointment was made known through the media on May 3, 2023 prior to his official appointment.
Related stories
Another FRU staff member sent on leave by Valenitabua was Human Resources manager Sharon Wati.
She was asked to take her leave last Wednesday, May 10.
