Fiji to deploy Police and Defence attachés to Australia
The initiative was one of the key outcomes endorsed by Cabinet following Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s official visit to Australia.

Fiji will soon station a Police Attaché and a Defence Attaché at its High Commission in Canberra as part of new security cooperation measures with Australia.
The initiative was one of the key outcomes endorsed by Cabinet following Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s official visit to Australia from July 1–7, 2025.
Cabinet also approved work on a new Fiji–Australia Security Agreement, which is expected to strengthen collaboration on defence, policing, and regional stability.
