Fijian Embassy In Japan Raise $132K For TC Yasa Relief

Ambassador Isikeli Mataitoga said the contribution raised would be utilised in the relief and rehabilitation of the cyclone victims who desperately and badly needed our support.

The Fiji Embassy Tokyo (FET) Natural Disaster Relief Appeal Fund has reached the milestone of raising JPY7,006,351 (FJ$132,497) for the victims of Tropical Cyclone Yasa.

Despite the global COVID-19 pandemic, some still contributed generously, and this by far was the second-largest contribution to the FET Natural Disaster Relief Appeal Fund. For Cyclone Winston, FET raised JPY 13,091,455 (FJ$247,572.32).

Ambassador Isikeli Mataitoga said the contribution raised would be utilised in the relief and rehabilitation of the cyclone victims who desperately and badly needed our support.
