Principal Legal Officer in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), Pauline Madanavosa, has been selected as one of 13 participants from around the world to attend a one-month long professional exchange programme.

The programme is sponsored by the United States government under the theme “Protecting Women and Children.” The study tour from May 4 to 25, 2019 is a multi-regional programme organised by the US government with the goal to create linkages among professionals in the legal field working to promote international co-operation in strengthening access to justice for women and children.

The participants will meet federal government agencies and private sector organisations that are actively engaged in protecting the rights of women and children.

Participants will explore the rule of law and the US justice system with special emphasis on the legal structures in place to protect women and children and identify discriminatory practices based on gender and methods of addressing and resolving them with the US social and political and legal sectors.

The ODPP congratulates Ms Madanavosa on her selection.
