The Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources is urging all tenants of State land, including businesses and individuals with arrears, to take immediate action before the amnesty period closes on 31 August.
The amnesty allows tenants to clear outstanding payments with penalties waived, offering significant savings.
Tenants who fail to act risk facing stricter enforcement measures starting 1 September.

Permanent Secretary Paula Cirikiyasawa said the Ministry has already seen strong participation from tenants, particularly business houses, taking advantage of the waiver.
He emphasised that those still in arrears should settle their dues without delay.
“This is the final reminder. Acting now means avoiding additional costs and enforcement action, while also restoring compliance with the State,” Mr Cirikiyasawa said.
The Ministry has reached out through phone calls, emails, direct meetings, and social media to ensure all tenants are informed. From next week, collection efforts will be intensified across all categories of tenants.
Tenants are encouraged to visit the Department of Lands offices in Suva, Nadi, Lautoka, Rakiraki, and Labasa for further assistance and to make payments.
Don’t miss this opportunity to save money and stay compliant — the deadline is 31 August.
