Minister for Finance Biman Prasad says a significant amount of sponsorship for the National Economic Summit ensured the consultative process cost taxpayers far less than estimated costs.
He was responding to concerns raised by political party leaders and politicians on the estimated $360,000 budget that was allocated for the two-day summit underway at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.
