Fire At Tuvu Home Caused By An Unsupervised Child: NFA

The four-bedroom home, belonging to the Simpson family, started around 7.30am.

The National Fire Authority has concluded its investigations on the home fire in Tuvu, Lautoka, saying it was caused by an unsupervised child.

Authority chief executive officer Puamau Sowane said a four-year-old child was playing with matches and had lit it while playing on a mattress.

The four-bedroom home, belonging to the Simpson family, started around 7.30am.

The Lautoka Fire Station was alerted at 8.06am when the team responded immediately.
