Nadi businessman Mohammed Ifraz Khan is reeling from a fire that caused extensive damage to his business yesterday.
Destroyed was the Sadhai Autos Fiji at Martintar, Nadi.It is alleged the fire started at 3am. National Fire Authority (NFA) liaison officer Epineri Vula said two fire trucks and a crew of firemen from the Nadi Fire Station were deployed to the scene after they were alerted.
“When they arrived at the scene, they found out that the property was fully engulfed in fire,” Mr Vula said.

He confirmed that the fire caused extensive damage.
He said an investigation to determine the cause of the fire was underway.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said they have also launched an investigation.
Mr Khan said the incident had caused them a big loss.
“This is our only source of income.
We are struggling to keep up with the business and then this happened to us. We just don’t know how to recover all these.
“The sad thing also, it was not insured.”
He claimed to have lost $200,000.
