The Easter celebration was ruined for a family in Labasa after their house was destroyed in a fire yesterday.
The incident happened at around 3.30pm in Naodamu.
Homeowner, Mikale Ting and his family had left to spend their weekend at their farm while the house was occupied by his nephew and his family.

Mr Ting’s brother, Joseph Setto said at around 3pm, his nephew and family left the house to attend an Easter service.
Thirty minutes later, the house was engulfed in flames. It has two flats which were both destroyed.
Mr Setto said they suspected that the fire started from a candle.
Meanwhile, Police spokesperson Savaira Tabua said the police officers were at the scene assisting the National Fire Authority officers.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing.
