Floodwaters Partly Wash Away Bridges

Tropical Cyclone Sarai left many low-lying areas in the Northern Division flooded yesterday.
While some roads were closed to traffic due to floods, two bridges were partly washed away.
In Vatulovona Village, Macuata, the bridge which was recently structured a few months ago, was partly washed away by the strong currents and the flood overnight.

The bridge is believed to have been repaired a few months ago but has been washed away again.
Meanwhile, swift action by contractor was visible on sight to repair the bridge as the weather cleared up.
