Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba has resigned from the Fiji Constitutional Review Commission (CRC) to focus on her responsibilities as vice-chancellor of the Fiji National University (FNU).
CRC chairperson Sevuloni Valenitabua confirmed the resignation, saying Professor Nabobo-Baba stepped down after the commission began its public consultation programme a few weeks ago.
Mr Valenitabua said Professor Nabobo-Baba requested to resign because of her commitments with FNU, including officiating at graduation ceremonies across the university's campuses around the country.

The commission has spent the past month conducting nationwide public consultations in urban centres, rural communities, villages and outer islands.
Its final round of consultations is scheduled to take place in Rotuma next week.
