Foot Crossing A Big Relief
The $46,000 project was commissioned last Friday by the Minister for Rural, Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Sakiasi Ditoka.

People from three villages in the districts of Vaturova and Koroalau in Cakaudrove will no longer have to cross a river by foot to access public transport.
That’s because the Ministry of Rural, Maritime Development and Disaster Management, under its Community Access Roads, Footpaths and Footbridges (CARFF) Program, built a foot crossing.
The $46,000 project was commissioned last Friday by the Minister for Rural, Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Sakiasi Ditoka.

For decades, villagers of Wavu, Korokoli and Vuinadi had to cross a river by foot to access public transportation services, to get to school or hospitals, or to get to their plantations.
