Foreign National, 70, Remanded For Sexual Assault
It is believed that the accused, aged 70, committed the assaults on multiple occasions between 2010 and 2011, targeting two victims who were then 11 years old.

A foreign national, 70, was remanded by the Nadi Magistrate Court last Friday.
He appeared before Magistrate Nilmini Ferdinandez charged with four counts of sexual assault and three counts of indecently insulting and annoying individuals.
The Criminal Investigations Department and Sigatoka Police conducted thorough investigations with additional reports against the accused surfaced during community visitations in the Sigatoka area.

It is alleged that the accused, who is sponsoring the victims’ education, arranged a room at a resort where he carried out the heinous acts.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Elina Cerai objected to the accused being released on bail.
The accused was further remanded and his case has been adjourned to May 30 at the Sigatoka Magistrate Court.
