Forestry Director Praises Land, Resource Owners On Seed Planting Initiative
Nayarabale land and resource owners of Vaturova district in Cakaudrove Province were praised for their seed planting initiatve and adoption of commercial plans.

Nayarabale land and resource owners of Vaturova district in Cakaudrove Province were praised for their seed planting initiatve and adoption of commercial plans.
Ministry of Forestry director operations and services, Tevita Bulai, said tree planting was a cornerstone to the survival of our forest areas.
He said there was no plan ‘B’ for deforestation, but only to focus on replanting efforts to replenish the forests of its reserves.

Mr Bulai said a win-win situation of agreement must co-exist between the landowners, contractor carrying out the logging and resource owners.
He said land and resource owners of Nayarabale had enlightened their problems with logging indicating that priority must be made to ensure water sources and catchment areas were not affected.
