Former Permanent Secretary Joins Peoples Alliance
Tevita Boseiwaqa was a Permanent Secretary in his last role, before he resigned to become director-general of the Centre for Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific.

Tevita Boseiwaqa is no stranger in the leadership arena as he has held key positions prior to joining The People’s Alliance.
Mr Boseiwaqa was one of the recently announced provisional candidates by the People’s Alliance.
He is a former permanent secretary.

He started his professional career as a school teacher before he became a civil servant.
For 31 years he was employed in public service, where he served in six ministries that included Education, Office of the Prime Minister, iTaukei Affairs, Rural Development & Disaster Management Defence, National Security and immigration and Lands and Mineral Resources.
Mr Boseiwaqa was a PS in his last role, before he resigned to become director-general of the Centre for Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP).
With headquarters in Dhaka, Bangladesh, CIRDAP is a Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) established inter-governmental organisation that reinforces policy support, undertake research and pilot projects and hub of sharing best practices on rural development for 15 countries in Asia and the Pacific.
He was heavily involved in the Serua community.
Mr Boseiwaqa is a former chair of the Serua Provincial Council, and he was also president of the Ratu Latianara Secondary and Primary Schools, as well as president and coach of the Serua Rugby Union.
He holds a Diploma, Bachelor, Post Graduate Diploma and Master’s Degree in the fields of education, geography, development studies and business administration.
He now runs his own private consultancy business and also does farming.
