Former Star Fijian Halfback, Taito Rauluni, Dies
Taito’s sons Jacob and Moses played halfback for the Flying Fijians.

Former national rugby halfback Taito Rauluni passed away in Brisbane, Australia yesterday.
This was confirmed by his son and former Flying Fijians captain Moses Rauluni.
“Today I lost my Dad after being sick for a long time. Rest easy Dad, because of you we had an easier life growing up in Australia. “Thanks for everything you gave and taught us. Humility is everything…” Moses posted on social media.

Taito was the original member of the Magnificent 7s that played for the first time at the 1976 Hong Kong 7s tournament. Other members are Tom Jani, Qele Ratu, Joe Rauto, Ratu Isoa Makutu, Ratu Ilaitia Tuisese, Viliame Ratudradra, Ratu Tui Cavuilati and Tevita Rabuli.
