Former Student Gives Back To School
Close to 600 students of Shri A.D. Patel Memorial Primary School in Nadi can now enjoy more learning books in their library.

Close to 600 students of Shri A.D. Patel Memorial Primary School in Nadi can now enjoy more learning books in their library.
This is after a former student, Sajal Narayan, a US businessman handed over books and sporting equipment to the Malolo-based school.
Mr Narayan said: “I was a student from 1991 to 1998 and was very privileged to get education here.

“I was able to maintain the level of education and move forward in my life.”
He was overwhelmed with the development of the school in terms of its classrooms, administration office, and storage room and computer lab.
Mr Narayan was born in Labasa and moved to Nadi after his father got a job as a banker there.
Mr Narayan holds a high position in the car dealership in the State of Virginia.
School manager Sada Siwan Mudaliar said: “This will give equal opportunities for all students to develop their basic knowledge of reading at a very young age and to empower them for their future education.”
“As this is a rural school and we are in need of books, the Ministry is assisting with books and such contributions from an ex student, no doubt this would provide excellent learning tool for the students and staff.”
The school was established in 1956 and has a school roll of 596 students.
