In the vibrant city of Lautoka, a young entrepreneur’s ambitious vision has turned into a promising reality.

Aminiasi Natoga, a 19-year-old from Vitogo Village, is the proud owner of Narogokibau Quality Tent for Hire, a business that began its journey in July last year and is now capturing the attention of his community.

Mr Natoga’s story started when he received his lease money at the age of 18. With a significant sum of $14,000 at his disposal, he invested $8,000 in a business venture, purchasing a large 20m x 40m tent complete with lighting setups, laying the foundation of his new venture.

“As soon as I received my lease money in June last year, I was determined to start my business and be a young entrepreneur,” Mr Natoga shared with a bright smile.

The process was not without its challenges. It took two months from receiving his lease money to officially register his business in August 2023.

Despite these hurdles, Mr Natoga’s determination never wavered.

By July, Narogokibau Quality Tent for Hire was operational, offering rental services that quickly picked up its popularity in Lautoka.

His strategic about his earnings, setting aside a portion for tithes, savings, and family needs, demonstrating a maturity in financial management well beyond his years.

His future plans include expanding his business by adding another tent to meet the growing demand, a testament to the venture’s success and his community’s support.

His advice to fellow youths is emotional and reflective of his journey: “We need to think twice about all the challenges we have been through. We need to teach ourselves to save and invest money. We should not forget God who is the source of everything. We need to have passion and be willing to learn and dream big.”

He added: “My journey is not just a story of entrepreneurial success but also a beacon of inspiration for young people everywhere. I want to encourage others to dream, act, and achieve what they want.”
