The Fiji Rugby Union has extended their partnership with Fiji Kava for another three years.

The partnership was renewed yesterday at Rugby House in Suva.

As part of the renewed partnership, Fiji Kava will be working with Fiji Rugby to launch a unique co-branded kava product that will aid in player's recovery from significant physical and mental challenges both on and off the field.

They have been Fiji Rugby's exclusive kava supplier for the national rugby teams and grassroot communities since 2020.

Fiji Rugby general manager commercial Avnil Pratap said they were thrilled with the announcement as their collaboration has been instrumental in providing the rugby community with a reliable source of premium kava.

Pratap added Fiji Kava's commitment to quality and its uniquely formulated noble kava varieties align perfectly with the union's mission to support the physical and mental well-being of the players.

He indicated this partnership was not only enhancing the wellbeing of the players but also contributing to the growth and prosperity of local communities involved in the cultivation of kava.

Fiji Kava founder and executive director Zane Yoshida said:

"We are excited and honoured to support Fiji Rugby for a further three-year term.

"This partnership connects our farmers with their national sporting heroes and ensures they receive the highest quality kava in Fiji."

Yoshida added rugby and kava were both intertwined in our DNA in Fiji and delighted to announce that Fiji Kava and Taki Mai would remain as the official kava of the national men's and women's teams.
