SODELPA leader Viliame Gavoka admits a party colleague's dismissal from Cabinet may have been the result of delayed information reaching the Prime Minister in good time.

Aseri Radrodro faced dismissal last Friday night from Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka for insubordination and disobedience, centred around the appointment of council members at Fiji National University (FNU).

Mr Gavoka told the Fiji Sun he had informed the Prime Minister about the reinstatement of the four FNU council members last year- Dr Kesaia Seniloli, Peter Zinck, Robin Nair, and Priscilla Puamau.

He also discussed Mr Rabuka's directive with Mr Radrodro and took corrective action.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, Mr Gavoka detailed his conversation with Mr Radrodro and the implemented changes.

Despite corrections, Mr Gavoka said: "Things were corrected but it did not reach him at the time it was done."

Regarding the coalition's stability, the Deputy Prime Minister asserted: "The coalition will complete its full term.

"People should dismiss any thoughts of the coalition government being under threat."
