Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP/O) Kasiano Vusonilawe has encouraged 21 police officers to focus on doing their work properly, saying promotions will follow.

He delivered the message during a three-day Frontline Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) Empowerment Workshop.

ACP Vusonilawe reminded participants that, as frontline supervisors, they are responsible for guiding officers who carry out day-to-day policing duties.

“You should know your roles and responsibilities. We cannot continue to emphasise how much our service needs to be up to par,” he said.

The police operations chief urged officers to return to basics and ensure fundamental policing standards are met.

“Enough of doing the work for the sake of just doing it. Enough of running after ranks and promotions. Do your work the right way first, and promotions will find their way to you,” he said.
