A nine-year-old student, who was allegedly raped by a 17-year-old student has been discharged from Savusavu Sub-Divisional Hospital after being admitted for a few days following the alleged incident.
This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro on Monday.
“The investigation is still going on because we will speak to the victim who has been discharged from the hospital,” Ms Naisoro said.

“Once we gather the victim’s statement, then we will bring the suspect in for questioning before laying any charges.”
She said the incident allegedly happened during the last weekend of January.
