Around 3000 Government officials would benefit from the 1.5 megawatts solar plant project in Mua, Taveuni.

This was announced by Ro Filipe Tuisawau during the groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday.

The Minister for Infrastructure, Public Works, and Meteorological Service said the utilisation of clean and sustainable energy would brighten the economic prospects of the region.

The beneficiaries of this project include family members of government staff of re­spective ministries, local technicians, and communities.
