Government Receives 1,200 Applications For Board Appointments

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka yesterday revealed in Parliament that Government received 1200 applications for Board appointments when it advertised the Expression of Interest last month.

He said it was imperative that the right people are appointed on merit reflecting the dynamics of Fiji’s diverse population.

Speaking about the re-established Higher Salaries Commission he said: “In light of publicity about excessive remunerations, the re-established Higher Salaries Commission will set guidelines for salaries and benefits for CEOs and other high-level executives,” he said.
