'Govt Has No Right To Terminate ComPol'

Minister for Home Affairs Pio Tikoduadua says he has no right under the law to terminate the employment of Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho.

Mr Tikoduadua’s comment comes after he was asked whether he had any power to terminate the contract of Brigadier-General Qiliho’s employment contract.

He said he had only invited Brigadier-General Qiliho to resign, not terminate his contract.
