Graduates Secure Overseas Opportunities
Majority of the 12- young women rugby players that graduated on Wednesday in Suva from the 10-week inaugural Women’s Agro-Rugby Project have secured overseas contracts to either study, play, or work and play rugby.

Majority of the 12- young women rugby players that graduated on Wednesday in Suva from the 10-week inaugural Women’s Agro-Rugby Project have secured overseas contracts to either study, play, or work and play rugby.
Rugby Academy of Fiji director and former Flying Fijian Seremaia Bai said the project; Enhancing Women’s Employability & Food Security through Agro-Rugby was supported by their continued emphasis on having something to fall back on once rugby players end their careers.
The Bai’s Rugby Academy and Eastern Saints Co-operative project was funded by the Public Diplomacy Grants of the US Embassy. This project enables women ruggers to chase both a professional rugby career and an agro-business for life after the sport.
