Gucake ‘Gilman’ Lasaisuva Passes On Aged 77

Fiji has lost a music icon with the passing of Gucake ‘Gilman’ Lasaisuva, who peacefully died at his residence in Martintar, Nadi, on Sunday at the age of 77.

Fiji has lost a music icon with the passing of Gucake ‘Gilman’ Lasaisuva, who peacefully died at his residence in Martintar, Nadi, on Sunday at the age of 77.

He produced classic hits that are still covered today by artists and live bands.

Mr Gilman began his music career in the late 60s at the Golden Dragon Night Club in Suva with its renowned owner and famous music personality, Ken Janson Ho.
