Hannah Scoops Veiuto Primary Dux Award

This was stated by the Veiuto Primary School Dux, Hannah Tearoko.
The 13-year-old dedicated her success to her parents at Tabwewa Village in Rabi.

“Being away from my parents was a real struggle for me,” she said.
“I was scared and nervous but I thank my parents for their support and my teachers for recognising my hard work,” she said.
Hannah said she had been accepted at Yat Sen Secondary School which was her dream school.
“I want to become a General Surgeon. I have always admired the doctors in real life and even in movies. I really like to help people and I think being a General Surgeon is a worthy profession,” she said.
“Anything is possible if you believe in it. If you have the courage and are brave enough to do so, you can get that Dux award.”
Hannah also scooped top awards for Basic Science and Social Science.
The awards night was held on Thursday at Yue Lai Hotel in Suva.
