Head Boy Hopes To Be A Parliament Leader

Newly inducted head boy of Lagalaga Sanatan Primary School in Labasa, Jaishil Prasad wants to be a parliament leader.
During the prefect induction of 29 students yesterday, 13-year-old Jaishil said he was surprised to become the head boy.
“Being a leader means to me that first I have to respect my teachers, work hard to do my duties that have been assigned and perform academically well to make my parents proud,” Jaishil said.

“I would like to thank my parents for their continued support and I wish my prefects all the very best for the year.”
Meanwhile, Lagalaga Sanatan Primary School headteacher Rajen Prasad said the school was about eight kilometres from Labasa town.
“We have chosen the head boy and the head girl as they stood out from the rest of the students with good discipline and great leadership qualities,” Mr Prasad said.
Chief guest for the induction was Assistant Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Alvick Maharaj.
“The student roll is 113 including kindergarten students to Year Eight.”
