Headboy: Leadership Not Controlling People, It’s About Leading By Example

Being a leader is not about controlling people, rather it is leading by example what you want them to do says Lautoka Andhra Sangam College head boy Hritika Chandra.

Hritika and head girl Payal Pooja Roy were inducted head prefects of their student council body yesterday.

Hritika who is now in Year 13 had dreamt of becoming head boy of the school since Year Nine.

One of the high scorers of the school and as for Payal, being a head girl was no easy task and she knows that it comes with a big responsibility.

“I am glad to be given this opportunity to help the teach­ers and lead others students with good example.

“Also I want to inspire them with my leadership quali­ties,” she said.

Payal is proud and excited to be the first from her family to be a head girl.

Alongside with the induction programme, the school awarded some of its students, who scored exceptional re­sults in the national exams in 2018.

Adi Sulueti Mudu scored 551/600 in her Fiji Year 10 Cer­tificate Examination,

Payal Pooja Roy scored 347/400 in her Fiji Year 12 Cer­tificate Examination,

Joel Anand also scored 347/400 in his Fiji Year 12 Cer­tificate Examination and

Kishan Karan scored 347/400 in his Fiji Year 13 Certifi­cate Examination
