Mohammed Mudassir Ali of Seaqaqa Central College scooped first prize in the Northern Division oratory competition on July 14, 2023.
Mohammed Mudassir Ali, 14, scooped first prize in the Macuata Muslim League and Northern Urdu Group oratory competition.
Seaqaqa Central College Year Nine student is proud to retain the title for the school, which last took part in the event in 2019.
He is dedicating this award to his mentor, late Maulana lliyas Alam. A former urdu teacher of Seaqaqa Central College.

“I strongly believe that nothing is important than good health in this world,” Mohammed said.
“If your health is good then you will give your 100 per cent dedication and commitment in everything.”
He said many people sacrificed their health to achieve greater things in life and later on pay the price for it.
“Many miss meals while some spend too much on their mobile phones and gadgets trying to meet deadlines or for relaxation,” the second eldest of three siblings said.
“As a result many face health problems, such as poor eyesight, gastric, headache and many more.”
He hopes that people start investing time in their health and once this can be done the number of patients lining up at various health centres and hospitals will decrease.
He thanked his teachers and parents for helping him prepare for this competition which was held at Labasa Muslim College.
