Health Officials Return From Kadavu Stint

Victims of Tropical Cyclone Sarai in Kadavu have received their relief supplies and were also paid a visit by officials from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
Qalira district representative Emani Saumadu said three Government vessels visited the island soon after the Category 2 cyclone passed.
On board these vessels were officers, soldiers and engineers from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, bringing with them relief supplies, including officials from the health department.

The military engineers helped clear away trees and debris that had blocked roads and surveyed all damaged properties.
Officials from the health department visited all the villages affected by the storm and carried out their usual health screening and advice.
