Heavy rain alert
The heavy rain alert is now in force for Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Western Viti levu [Sigatoka through Nadi till Rakiraki], Bua and Macuata province, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
Situation: a trough of low pressure with clouds and rain lies to the north of Fiji and is anticipated to drift south and affect the group from later Thursday.
Forecast for for Yasawa and Mamanuca group, western Viti levu [sigatoka through Nadi to Rakiraki], bua and Macuata province, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands:
Brief showers increasing to rain, becoming heavy at times from Thursday afternoon.
