Torrential rain yesterday afternoon caused flooding in the streets of Sigatoka town.
This was experienced around 6pm. Certain parts of town had water up to knee level.
Sigatoka and Nadi Special administrators chairman Adish Naidu said, “There was torrential rainfall for an hour.

“That was unfortunate and drainage was not in a place to handle the non-stop of rain,” he said.
He added the council would look into ways to mitigate the incident.
